Why this exists
For 20 years I worked in IT service and asset management — which is a polite way of saying I spent two decades thinking professionally about how to track things properly. So when I started cataloging my own collection, I did what everyone does: I built a spreadsheet. It worked, until it didn't.
Next came an Access database, which fixed one problem and created new ones. I'd thought about the cloud, but the know-how to do it right set the bar higher than I had time for. Then the tooling caught up — and I finally built the thing I'd always wanted but could never find off the shelf.
Not a startup. Not a focus-grouped product. Just a collector who got tired of bad tools and made a better one — for tools, for firearms, for whatever you've spent too much of your life collecting and want to actually document properly.
